My Story, My Passion
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA in a single parent home with eight other siblings. I remember watching my mom and hoping that one day her load would get lighter and she would find a reason to smile, sing and dance. She wanted to give her children a better life, so in 2001 we moved 80 miles east to an unfamiliar place called Moreno Valley, CA. After showing full contempt because I did not want to settle, I started to believe that I was meant to be here, and that I could be happy and become someone she could be proud of.
In 2004, at the age of 18, I married my love and best friend, Dwight and we started a family in 2005 with the birth of our daughter and our son two years later. I was compelled to contribute to women, moms and children, so I began my field work at an Early Childhood Development Center. Later I worked at a Library, and other faith-based and government organizations, while attending school part-time. I begin to writing, designing and public speaking at schools and churches and that’s when I knew I was going to be a MOM-trepreneur.
On October 2, 2014, I founded Mom-Me & More, blog and company. This is not the typical “Mommy and Me,” class, but they are upbeat and beneficial. With my classes, event’s and expos, I’ve created a place for moms to get the support they need without feeling like they have to have it all together. Whether the pregnancy was planned or unplanned, and whether this is your first baby or nineteenth and counting, lol, we’ve prepared a place for you, we love you and we care about you! Being that I am a mother of three now, whoo hoo, I’m actively seeking ways to be a better “mom-me and more!”
